I finally wore a shirt I got for my birthday (back in October!)
And this is how I went to work: white shirt, blue jeans, and warm cardigan + coat.
I’m so much looking forward to Spring weather…
I don’t wear eyeshadow very often. My daily eye makeup routine usually consists of a black or bronze eyeliner, eyelash curler and, if I’m feeling adventurous, a layer or two of mascara.
Every now and then I’ll take a step further and wear a bit of eyeshadow. Bronze/kakhi hues are my favourite and Bobbi Brown’s long-wear cream shadow in Beach Bronze is a winner.
Beautiful colour. Highly pigmented. Long lasting.*
* I always apply MAC’s Prep+Prime eye base under any eye shadow. I found it makes all the difference for me – it’s the only way make up can last for more than a couple of hours on my oily skin.
Worth every penny.
Do you wear eye makeup regularly? If so, what type of products?
And now for something completely different, this is what I (also) wore today…
My beloved Flavie blouse.
I’m so glad I bought this blouse. It’s exactly what I feel like wearing right now (under several layers of cardigans, coats and scarves).
Oh I’ve been so bad with this little space for the last couple of weeks. Work, Christmas, travels, sickness… all took away my time or inspiration to blog. The miserable weather, both here in the UK and in Portugal, didn’t help either. But I’m finally getting control of my time and back to my usual mood again.
Slowly, slowly, though
. Here’s a quick peek at my outfit today…

Last Wednesday I decided to dig out of the closet a couple of old favourites…
♥ Shirt from Gap (approximately 7 years old) ♥ Skirt from APC (app. 5 years old) ♥ Boots from Vagabond (app. 5 years old – in urgent need of replacement!) ♥ Coat from Topshop (app. 4 years old – I guess this will be its last winter) ♥
I really like this APC skirt. The funny thing is that I don’t even like orange (it’s probably my least preferred colour), but I loved the cut and the cute bows on this skirt so much, I just had to buy it.
My husband calls it the Minnie Mouse skirt… Yeah, there’s a lot of Disney going on in my wardrobe ;)
I’m in the mood for vintage pieces lately. Yesterday I told you about the fur coat, today I’m introducing you to one of my favourite pieces of vintage jewellery: these earrings…
They were a gift from the mother of an ex-boyfriend a few years (a decade?) ago and quite possibly the best thing I took from that relationship (wow…this makes me sound like a materialist monster, but you know what I mean. I hope).
They belonged to her and they were bought in Brazil in the 1960-1970s.
I don’t think they are worth much, but I’m really fascinated by these earrings. They are quite big and colourful for my standards but I love that. I love the fact they are a standout piece. You can match them with a plain black dress and, that’s it, you’ll feel immediately glamorous.
I tried to take a picture of me wearing the earrings but it was too big of a challenge for me…
*several failed attempts at a decent picture*
I’ve been living in simple, uncomplicated outfits these days.
Knits & jeans most of the time…
Yesterday’s outfit: Comptoir des Cotonniers jumper (birthday present) and Acne high waisted jeans (old but still very much loved :)
Unremarkable, I know. But very comfortable.
